Description

This all-inclusive two-day shore excursion will show you the most famous sights in the city and take you to the most famous museums by car and boat. The overview of the Hermitage museum, inside visits to St. Isaac's Cathedral and Church on the Blood, Yusupov Palace, and Rasputin murder tour. On the second day start with Peter and Paul Fortress tour. Head outside the city and have a walk in the famous Peterhof fountain gardens. A tour to Peterhof will be followed by the Catherine Palace and Amber room visit. Russian traditional lunches in local places will add to your introduction to the Russian culture and life. Maximum of people for this tour is 14.

Day 1
Get together between 7:30-8 a.m. (if your cruise ship arrives later, the meeting time will be adjusted) at the port terminal, straight behind the passport control. A panoramic city tour will take you through the historic city center. See the Admiralty, University, and Egyptian Embankments, Admiralty, Kunstkammer, Spit of Vassilievsky Island with Rostral columns, Nevsky Avenue, Bronze Horseman and other famous sights. Followed by a river and canal tour (conducted privately for the group, by a separate boat), the city tour will serve a great introduction to St. Petersburg and its history.
Iside visits St. Isaac's Cathedral and Church on the Blood (Resurrection cathedral) are included in this day's program. 
St. Petersburg offers museums meeting any tastes and interests. The next visit is almost a detective story: the Yusupov Palace is closely connected with the assassination of Rasputin and the mystery around it.
Traditional lunch in a local place to refresh and introduce you to the Russian food.
The tour of the Hermitage includes the Winter Palace, Small, Old and New Hermitages, Staterooms and throne halls of the Romanov tsars and West European art collections. 
Return back on board the ship by 6:30pm

Day 2
Meet your guide at 8am and continue the city tours. Visit a local market, with some time, is available for walking and shopping. Once the museums open their doors to the public, head for Peter and Paul Fortress. A tour of the very first building of St. Petersburg tells you about its early history and local traditions. Inside visit to Sts Peter and Paul Cathedral will show you the burial vault where all the Romanov dynasty tsars starting from Peter the Great are buried.
Enjoy a drive outside the city with a short subway ride on the way where you can see beautiful metro stations.
Peterhof fountain parks are one of the most popular attractions, often called "Russian Versailles". Visit the Grand Peterhof Cascade and most famous and ingenious fountains.
To prepare for the next museum visit, sit-down for a traditional lunch in a local place to allow you to sit back and relax.
Last but not least visit the most famous summer residence of the Romanov-tsars, the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo. 
Take the tour of the stunning palace, walk down the Golden Enfilade of Rastrelli and visit the unique Amber Room to crown your 2 days in St. Petersburg.
By 4:30-5pm return on board your ship, in good time before the ship's departure from the port.
