10am - Meet your guide in the morning at your centrally located hotel in St. Petersburg and begin your tour. Stroll along the bustling Nevsky Prospect — one of the city’s popular shopping streets — and admire the grand interior of the legendary Eliseyev Emporium.

10.30am - As you explore, take in top city attractions including the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, the Field of Mars, St. Michael's Castle and gardens — once a royal residence — and the Russian Museum (from outside).

11.00am - Soak up the atmosphere at Isaac’s Square and admire 19th-century St. Isaac’s Cathedral, then stroll along the banks of the Moyka River to a trendy coffee shop. Here, sample local specialties such as poached egg on baked toast or homemade cottage cheese fritters with sour cream.

12.00pm - Head onward through Palace Square to the State Hermitage Museum and Alexander Garden, and listen as your guide sheds light on St. Petersburg’s colorful culture and traditions. Stop at a second cafe and enjoy a refreshing cup of Russian tea or kvass accompanied by a Russian traditional snack. For an even more original taste of Russia, head instead to a country-style Soviet-era cafe called Dachniki — where traditional soup, salad and hot dishes are on the menu.
