Your private guide will meet you in the lobby of your centrally located hotel and you will transfer to the Porcelain Museum in your private vehicle.
Founded in 1844, the manufactory’s own museum was created by order of the tsar Nicholas I to store, admire and copy the most unique and exquisite examples of the porcelain items. Since that time the museum has acquired a great collection of masterpieces (numbering over 30,000 items), including porcelain and glass items produced at the Imperial Factories, items of the Soviet period, works of the famous European manufactories and Russian private factories, samples of Chinese and Japanese porcelain. Moreover, you could see the items that were produced to the orders of the Russian Imperial family. According to the personal instruction of the tsar Alexander III all the orders of the Russian Imperial family were made in two copies, one of which was kept at the Museum.

The museum’s collection was evacuated twice in 1917-1918 and during the WWII. The museum staff has managed to preserve the historical and cultural properties that have no analogues in any other museums. In 2001 the collection of the porcelain factory's museum, was transferred to the administration of the State Hermitage.

Tour will end at a location of your choosing within the city center limits.
