Visit two summer estates in one day: Tsarskoye Selo, the extravagant Village of the Tzars and Pavlovsk, a family nest of Paul I. Your private knowledgeable guide will tell you many interesting facts about the history of this place and lives of its owners. In Catherine's Palace, you will see  the unique Amber Room carefully restored by the best Russian craftsmen. Only a short ride later, you will find yourself in the Park of Pavlovsk, which is the largest landscape park in Europe. Visit Pavlovsk Palace, an elegant family residence in classical and eclectic style with an abundance of paintings, sculpture, and furniture of the time.

After meeting the guide in the hotel, head to the city of Pushkin, where the magnificent summer residence of the Russian tsars, the favorite palace of Catherine the Great is located. Tsarskoe Selo (the Village of the Tsars) was the place of official receptions of the nobility of Russia and foreign diplomats. It is a magnificent set of parks and palaces, which demonstrates the Russian and European artistic culture of the eighteenth century. You will dive into the atmosphere of the 18th century by walking along the strict lines of the French garden and passing by the Golden Enfilade during the tour of Catherine Palace. The jewel of the excursion is visiting the legendary Amber Room, which is also recognized as the eighth wonder of the world.

After visiting Pushkin, you will have a short trip (15 min) to the splendid suburban palace that was built especially for Paul I (the son of Catherine) and his wife Maria Fyodorovna as their family residence. Pavlovsk Palace will surprise you with the atmosphere of elegance and abundance of genuine authentic family belongings saved during World War II. The formation of Pavlovsk Palace collections is associated with the journey of the owners of Pavlovsk through Europe in 1781-1782. When visiting the workshops of famous masters, they bought and ordered paintings, furniture, bronze figures, silk fabrics, porcelain sets, brought a lot of old sculptures from Italy and received gifts from the royal courts of Europe. The palace museum presents a magnificent collection of Russian portraits, picturesque views, and graphics of Pavlovsk. The rooms of Empress Maria Fyodorovna, beautiful in their harmony, decorated in the early nineteenth century, were discovered after many years of restoration. The trip back to the center of St. Petersburg will take approximately an hour.
