This is the best way to spend 3 days in St. Petersburg! You will see the essential Highlights, from the galleries of the Hermitage to the fountains of Peterhof, and with added extras like a canal boat ride, a visit to the new Faberge Museum and the impressive collection of Impressionist paintings in the General Staff Building of the Hermitage. You will learn about the founding of St. Petersburg, its imperial past, the hardships of WWII, the Cold War period, and right up to modern day life.

Please note: the itinerary below is a sample. Because of museum closing days, the tour order may vary. However, all sights listed in this itinerary will be visited, no matter when you arrive.

Day 1
8:30 a.m. — Meet at the ship, and pay for the tour
9 a.m. — City sightseeing tour with many photo stops. A visit to the local farmers’ market, Grand Choral Synagogue, and/or Subway ride (per request of the group). A visit to Peter and Paul fortress and cathedral.
12 p.m. — Lunch at a local cafe
1 p.m. — A guided tour of the Fabergé Museum (for this portion of the tour, you will join a group of up to 18 people)
2 p.m. — Excursion in the Yusupov Palace
3:30 p.m. — Inside visit to St. Isaac's Cathedral
5 p.m. — Return to the ship or optional evening activities, for example the folklore shot or ballet

Day 2
7:45 a.m. — Meet at the ship
8 a.m. — Drive to Peterhof
9 a.m. — Peterhof fountain park and gardens + a visit to one of the smaller palaces (Monplasir, Catherine's Block)
12 p.m. — Lunch at a local café
1 p.m. — Drive to Pushkin (Tsars' Village)
2 p.m. — Visit inside Catherine's Palace with the Amber Room and a walk in the Park.
5 p.m. — Return to the ship or optional evening activities

Day 3
8:45 a.m. — Meet at the ship
9:30 a.m. — A visit to the Hermitage Museum
12 p.m. — Inside visit to the Church on the Spilled Blood
1 p.m. — Lunch at a local café
2 p.m. — A visit to the General Staff building to see the Impressionist exhibit
3 p.m. — Boat ride through the canals and/or Neva River
5 p.m. — Return to the ship
